Get Your Sh** Together Friends

I believe that every woman should have a group of women she can count on. Maybe that's because I grew up with television shows like "Living Single," "227," "Girlfriends," and movies like "Waiting to Exhale" and "Set It Off." Those shows and movies depicted Black women in a sisterly light despite the various backdrops of each group of friends. Yes, they had disagreements and of course, "it's just television," but I like to believe that friendships like those still exist. I am thankful for my friends who encourage and celebrate me but also let me know when I'm wrong. My "get your shit together" friend-group is ever expanding because I am constantly meeting amazing women from whom I can learn.
